LivingWorks safeTALK Training
Suicide is preventable. Anyone can make a difference.
  • Half-day training in suicide alertness skills
  • safeTALK prepares people to be more alert to suicide and to help persons with thoughts of suicide make safe connections.
  • Will learn to apply four basic steps that equip them for the safety-connector role.
  • The intervention goal is that persons with thoughts of suicide connect with someone who will help them keep safe from suicide and access further support.
  • Widely used by professionals and the general public.

LivingWorks ASIST Training for Trainers
In the course of their five-day T4T, ASIST trainer candidates will:
  • Experience or re-experience ASIST as any participant would
  • Better understand the key process and content features of ASIST
  • Learn how to use the ASIST Trainer Manual and audiovisuals in preparing and facilitating the workshop
  • Benefit from coaching and self-study to prepare and present assigned sections of ASIST at the T4T
  • Develop the confidence to begin facilitating ASIST
  • Establish or strengthen links with other candidates who may become training partners or provide support in the future

LivingWorks safeTALK Training for Trainers
In the course of their two day T4TLivingWorks safeTALK provides in-depth skills to recognize signs of suicide, engage someone, and ensure a connection to safety. The in-person format includes powerful audiovisuals and live practice.
  • Day 1 morning candidates will observe and participate in an actual safeTALK training.
  • Day 1 afternoon candidates will receive training materials and begin study and preparation to present an assigned part of safeTALK.
  • Day 1 evening candidates may expect to spend time in self-study and preparation for day 2.
  • Day 2 morning activities are designed to support the integration of safeTALK’s fundamental beliefs and core messages.
  • Day 2 afternoon: trainer candidates present the part of safeTALK they prepared day 1. The T4T ends with a look forward to their provisional trainer status including tips on implementation and signing trainer agreements.
