Providing Support and Training Services Since 1970
BRCIC began on the campus of LSU in 1970 as a student organization and has grown to be a nationally-recognized provider of crisis support services. BRCIC offers a weekly Survivors of Suicide Loss support group which has been meeting continuously for over 50 years. The group is offered at no cost to the participants.The Center offers training to professionals and the community on recognizing the signs of suicide and how to intervene, as well as postvention services to support workplaces, churches, clubs, and other organizations who have lost members to suicide.
