United Way 2-1-1 is an information and referral telephone service. Trained counselors assist callers by linking them to agencies in their community that can fulfill their particular need. Counselors are on duty each day and can be reached for information referral assistance by dialing 2-1-1 in the 10-parish area or calling 225.923-2114 or 877.923.2114.

United Way 2-1-1 has information on over 800 nonprofit service agencies and more than 2,000 services, providing food, shelter, clothing, rent/utility assistance, elderly services, consumer services and much more.
 
United Way 2-1-1 also offers a printed binder of available resources in the Capital area. The Directory of Community Resources, "The Blue Book," is available at the Center by calling 225.924.1431. You can also access these resources online by clicking here.
